Meet the 2018 Dancers

This year’s SeattleDANCES Gala & Dance Competition will feature nine Seattle-area luminaries who will train and perform with professional dance partners from the Century Ballroom. The 9th Annual SeattleDANCES Gala & Celebrity Dance competition will be on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at Fremont Studios.

Local celebrity dancers include Pamela Baade, Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruises; Gail Conway Gray, University of Washington School of Medicine; Emily Heston, Splendid Market; Dr. Hans-Peter Kiem, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center; Tony Mestres, Seattle Foundation; Jeff Pyatt, Pyatt Broadmark Management; Lena Saba, Community Volunteer; Jerry Stehlik, Retired Attorney and Community Volunteer; and Leslie Wolford, Starbucks.

The dancers will perform at SeattleDANCES on March 10, 2018 for the chance to win a coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. The audience will “vote” for their favorite dance couples with monetary pledges, and Mirror Ball Trophies will be awarded to those who score highest in one of the three following categories:

  • People’s Choice Award: The People’s Choice Award will be presented to the couple who raises the most monetary “votes” at the event.
  • Judges’ Choice Award: The Judges’ Choice Award will be presented to the couple who is the most accomplished, personable and/or energetic and passionate dancers as voted on by our celebrity judges.
  • Cyber Choice Award: The Cyber Choice Award will be presented to the couple who raises the most monetary “votes” online before the event.

Tickets will be available starting January 17, 2018 and pricing is as follows: $250 per person; $2,500 for a table of ten. Online voting for your favorite Celebrity Dancer will also begin on January 17.
